More Elliptical
This morning I lasted 35 minutes on the elliptical for 2.65 miles. I'm a little tired this morning as I'm getting ready for work, but it's a good tired. My next goal is to work up to 3.1 miles (5K) on the elliptical machine. I'm wondering if I can be ready to at least finish the Cary Road Race 5K next month. I'd really like to try--to finish, not shoot for a PR, but to finish. Funny, that was my goal at the first Cary Road Race I ran two years ago, the one that I started training for when I started this blog. In that race, I finished--last! Yes, folks, the dreaded last finisher in that race was me! It wasn't embarassing like I thought it would be; I was thrilled to finish! :-D And I know I'm in better shape now than I was then, and 100 lbs. lighter to boot, just a little gun shy (and slightly out of shape) after falling and breaking my nose!

I am sure you will be ready for the race next month. Like you said, maybe not a PR, but I think you will regain your fitness pretty fast once you are feeling better.
I'm sure you will do fine. Hopefully I'll be running my first one at Oak Island the same day you are running in Cary.
I'll be thinking of you the whole way.
