Monday Treadmill Run
I had today off for Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday, so I slept in and went to the gym a little later than usual. I had a 2-mile treadmill run/walk scheduled, with a 1% incline during the running portions. That was new. It was a shorter run than I have been doing, which I think was to compensate for the addition of the incline. It felt weird to just do two miles, so I worked on picking up the pace a little bit. I ended up with 2.01 miles in 33:01 minutes, a 16:25 pace. It's a slower average pace than I expected, but faster than any of my training runs last week. I had some faster treadmill runs earlier in the month, but no incline. At times I had the treadmill going faster, but scaled back a little. As it is, I'm pretty sore now. Maybe I'll take a hot bath BEFORE tonight's meeting. (Ah, the luxury of a day off! Love it!)

This is very strange.....
You don't know me, at all, BUT because of some strange reason, I felt the urge to click the "NEXT BLOG" link at the top of MY blog page this morning. Never done that in my life. I landed on your "Time of My Life" blog. Apparently, it's right after mine. I thought, well, she looks like a nice person, and them my eye caught your 11/24 post about NaNoWriMo - WHICH I DID FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 2009, TOO! Then, I scrolled down the page a big an my eye got big as they skimmed across the word "marathon" in your 11/1 post. WHAT?!?!? I'm a runner, too! Then, I saw your other blog and the blogs that you follow and I thought KINDRED SPIRIT! I hope that you don't mind if I follow your blog(s) for a while. Love the Odyssey blog, by the way.... I have a goal to run at least 3 miles in every city in my state. I might copy your idea....
